As our Contracts Manager focusing on commercial matters, you'll serve as the lead negotiator on standard and non-standard deals often working on several contracts at a time. When necessary, you'll consult with in-house lawyers on non-standard terms. Your responsibilities will include effectively communicating Vertis's positions, policies and approval processes as well as tracking and reviewing statements of work, order forms, NDAs and other agreements on a daily basis. Detail-oriented, flexible and self-motivated, you'll work closely and intensely with both internal clients and external customers with the goal of finalizing contracts that advance Vertis' business objectives. Responsibilities: Serve as lead contract negotiator with a variety of Vertis business platforms. Assist clients in articulating and obtaining approvals for contract changes. Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal and approval processes. Take responsibility for drafting non-standard terms. Manage internal training related to improvement processes. Requirements: BA degree with excellent academic credentials or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of contract negotiation and drafting experience. Proven experience with commercial agreements. Strong English writing and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills; specifically, Microsoft Office and the Internet. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality. Paralegal experience in a large law firm or with an in-house legal department preferred. There is no relocation assistance available for this position.
